A three event All-American during her junior season … Ranked ninth overall in the 2007 Track & Field News high school girls Athlete of the Year poll … Rated second by the magazine in the 100 hurdles and triple jump, while fifth in the long jump … Selected as Athlete of the Year by San Jose Mercury News … Best marks as a junior included a 13.03 in the hurdles, a 20-2 long jump and 41-6 ½ triple jump … Her 100-meter hurdle mark led the nation and broke the previous National High School Federation record of 13.20 … Set her 20-2 long jump best at the Central Coast Section prelims while the 41-6 ½ triple jump came a week later in the CCS Finals.

In the 100 hurdles she claimed the 2007 California State title with her 13.03, which ranks her as the No. 2 performer on the all-time high school list and the mark became the fastest time recorded by a prep athlete in a high school-only race … Silver medalist at California State meet in long jump (20-1 ½) and triple jump (42-3 ¼w) … Finished third in the triple jump (41-1 ¾) and fifth in the 100 hurdles (13.42w / 13.37 prelim) at the 2007 USATF Junior Championships.

Into the 2008 indoor season Thomas has recorded marks that rank among the nation's best. In the hurdles she has run 7.87 (55H) and 8.52 (60H) while jumping marks of 19-0 and 40-5 ½, which currently shares the national lead.
