"The timing of Alyssa's decision to come to Texas A&M couldn't have been any better for Aggie soccer fans. She is exactly what we're looking for to immediately help our attack. She is very skillful, very fast, very athletic, and very versatile. She is the latest in a line of great players to have come to A&M with roots in the St. Louis Soccer Club, playing for Steve Pecher and a long line of great youth coaches. I hope that she will be able to step in and compete for a spot in our line-up as a goal scorer and creative force on our front line. She is one of the greatest goal scorers to come out of Missouri high school soccer, which is quite an accomplishment knowing how many national team stars have come from that state through the years. And, even though she also has experience at SLU as an attacking midfielder and with the U20 National Team as an attack minded outside back, our greatest need (and her greatest strength) is as a goal scorer. I am very excited to have her here this spring so that she can train daily with us and her teammates and so that she can get five non-traditional season game dates under her belt, which will make her an even greater force for us this coming fall."
