• As a senior was named the District 6-4A Most Valuable Player.
• As a junior garnered District 6-4A Offensive Most Valuable Player Honors.
• Member of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Super Team (2nd Team QB).
• During his award-winning senior campaign threw for 2,199 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding another 531 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground.
• As a junior threw for 2,051 yards and 24 touchdowns and rushed for another 911 yards and 17 touchdowns.
• Over his junior and senior seasons threw 38 touchdown passes to only six interceptions.
